Eucalyptus Care Guide
Eucalyptus is known for having many healing properties, and did you know you can grow these magnificent plants inside too?
------------------------------------
BLOOM:
Indoor Eucalyptus plants can produce small, white or cream-colored flowers. I think that the flowers look really showy, fuzzy and funky, and it is a sign that the plant is thriving!
If you are looking to propagate this plant, don't cut off the flowers! In most cases, the flowers will be followed up by seed pods, so you can harvest and plant the seeds by keeping the soil moist, and it should sprout within a month, if not, give it another month, if it still hasn't sprouted, there is probably something wrong with the seed, and you should try again.
------------------------------------
WATERING:
Water when the top 2 inches (1 inch = 2.54 centimeters) are dry, give it a good soak and let the excess water drain out.
------------------------------------
LIGHT REQUIREMENTS:
Indoor Eucalyptus plants love bright, indirect light. Direct sunlight can be a little too intense, so filtered light (like filtered by window mesh or something) is best for the plant.
------------------------------------
MEDIUMS:
Indoor Eucalyptus plants prefer well-draining potting soil with a slightly acidic pH. Now don't worry if you can't provide that for your plant, it can grow in a regular soil mix too. If you add some perlite, leca and some coco peat/chips to the soil, it would provide enough drainage for the plant while still holding moisture a bit longer than regular soil.
