Quesnelia Care Guide
Quesnelia (a type of bromeliad) are really beautiful plants with quite long-lasting flowers and are a frogs favorite plant!
The reason why frogs love it so much is because in both nature and terrariums, the crown of the leaves are perfect for frogs to hide in, and when it rained the crowns hold water for a long period of time and frogs sometimes like to lay eggs inside. A lot of plants like Amaryllis and orchids need to have water removed from their crowns because it can rot quite easily, it takes Quesnelia leaves a lot longer to develop crown rot.

FLOWERS:
Quesnelia produces stunning vibrant flowers! The flowering typically grow in late summer to early fall. To try to encourage it to bloom, make sure that the plant recieves bright indirect light and warm conditions.
------------------------------------
WATERING:
It prefers to be watered thoroughly but should be allowed to dry out between waterings. It's best to water them with distilled or rainwater which you can catch quite easily (click here to see how i catch my rainwater) because the minerals that are usually in tap water (like small bits of chlorine) can be a bit rough on the plant.
------------------------------------
LIGHT REQUIREMENTS:
Quesnelia plants prefer bright, indirect light but can tolerate partial shade. Like i said, for it to bloom give it enough light.
------------------------------------
PROPAGATION:
Quesnelia plants can be propagated through offsets or pups that form around the base of the mother plant. Once the pups have grown to a nice size, try to carefully pluck it out and pot it up, it's that easy!

MEDIUMS:
These plants love moisture but want to dry out between waterings, so make a mix with soil, perlite, leca and maybe some coco chips, that'd be the best option,
