Zamioculcas care guide
Not my favorite genus, but the plants are really interesting! Zamioculcas is a pretty small genus, and pretty much all Zamioculcas have the same growth structure, and Zamioculcas flowers are inflorescences, nothing weird.
Each 'stem' you see is actually a petiole, and all of the little leaves are one! Those little leaves are called "leaflets", and all of those leaflets combined is one single leaf, and the stem of the plant is a rhizome, which is beneath the soil, plants like Calathea grow from rhizomes too. Cool, right? Attatched to those rhizomes (underground stems) are little potato-like sacks that hold a lot of water. They're pretty fragile, break and rot easily if the soil stays wet for too long.

WATERING & MEDIUMS:
People keep making the mistake of watering these once a week, and my grandma used to do that too, and when i helped her repot it, everything was rotted, which was also due to the soil being straight from the bag without any perlite nor leca, which is the least these plants need to be able to grow properly. Water once every month since these plants have underground water resevoirs, but when watering, water thoroughly! A little sprinkle isn't going to do anything and will only slowely kill the plant

LIGHT REQUIREMENTS:
Zamioculcas are known for 'thriving' in low light, but then the plant will grow really slowly, so put it near a window and maybe even give it some direct light, Zamioculcas are stronger with light than people think!

PROPAGATION:
Just like most succulents, you can pluck off a leaf and put in water or soil, but can take over 6 months to start rooting!
You can also cut a part of the rhizome/underground stem with roots off and pot up in a seperate pot, but can take reallyyyyy long to grow!
