Pachira care guide

Pachira plants, also known as Money Trees are popular plants and believed to give wealth and fortune. Pachira is an easy plant to care for, let's get into it!

------------------------------------

FLOWERS:
Pachira rarely bloom indoors, but they have really unusual flowers! I have never seen a Pachira flower before in real life so i don't have a picture of it, but i can describe it from pictures i found online! So, the flower has about 5 petals about 1cm thick with 180-250 vibrant and thin male reproduction organs and what looks like 1 female one all for pollination. so, besides leaf and stem cuttings which you can just take, put in water, wait for it to root and pot it up, you can also propagate it by seed.

------------------------------------

WATERING:
Their thick stems and leaves store water, so like a succulent, it doesn't need water often. Water twice a month in the warmer months and once a month in the winter. When you water it, please fully soak it! If you just give it a little splash of water, the rest of the roots will dry out and die. It is all about WHEN you water and definitely not how MUCH you water.

------------------------------------

LIGHT REQUIREMENTS:
These plants are stronger than you might think, don't be afraid to put it in direct sunlight a couple hours a day, just make sure it's not too intense and hot otherwise it might burn the leaves.

People often make the mistake of putting their plants in a dark corner, every single plant needs light, and regular LED lights barely do anything! To prevent your plant from looking bare, sad and leggy, at least put it near a window or grow light.

------------------------------------

MEDIUMS:
Make a nice soil mix with drainage, but make sure it doesn't hold too much moisture otherwise your Pachira might rot.

Make a mix with soil, perlite, leca and maybe some coco chips.
